SpineNevada’s x-ray platform is the GE Optima* XR646. This Digital X-ray technology provides high image quality specially designed to support accurate diagnoses, confident decisions and patient satisfaction. The x-ray technology gives physicians the confidence that their first decision is the right one.
An easy way for people to relate to digital x-ray technology is to think back to older film based personal cameras. Before digital cameras, the camera was loaded with film rolls. Not only was it cumbersome to load the film, you also had no way to preview your images to determine level of exposure or if you captured the ideal shot until after a photo processor took special care to develop the images.
Today with digital camera technology people can take pictures, and then immediately view, edit and even share the pictures with others. Further, the advances in technology and reduced cost of digital sensors allow the digital imaging process to be used in many medical field applications as well.
The Flashpad digital detector at SpineNevada allows the ability to capture multiple images in less than a second. The technology helps eliminate blind spots in the imaging process. The platform also optimizes light channeling to allow high quality images with low x-ray exposure to the patient.
The X-ray platform at InMotion Diagnostics provides complete coverage of the anatomical region of interest through an automated movement. The excellent resolution and large dynamic range helps allow more complete measurements in orthopedic applications, of particular benefit in diagnosing spinal deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis.
